Jason Allison gets try out with Maple Leafs

According to The Globe and Mail former Boston Bruins captain Jason Allison has been invited to the Toronto Maple Leafs training camp.

Allison has not played an NHL game since the 2005-2006 season when he was a member of the Leafs. Allison netted 17 goals and 60 points in 66 games. He has played 550 NHL regular season games. If healthy, and up to the same playing level as in '06, Allison should at the least offer more depth to a young (Blake excluded) and developing Leafs team.
