In some more bad news for the Toronto Maple Leafs, defenseman Mike Van Ryn will undergo knee surgery and will be out for the year... at least.
Van Ryn will undergo an osteotomy.
Steve Yzerman underwent the procedure and was able to come back. Van Ryn is hoping to do the same.
