Preview: Red Wings Visit Buffalo

Tonight the Buffalo Sabres welcome town cryer Kris Draper and the Detroit Red Wings.

After dropping two games to St. Louis to start the season the Red Wings have won back to back games at home.

Detroit has won 15 of 18 from the Sabres. They will bring along their strong power play, which is currently firing at 30 percent (the Red Wings led the league last year with 25.5 percent).

"The last game was our best game," Babcock told the Red Wings' official Web site of the win against the Capitals. "It was the first time that we skated like an NHL team since we've been back (from Sweden). We gave up an early goal, yet I didn't think it affected us very much. We just kept playing, which is important."

Buffalo is having trouble scoring so far this season but Ryan Miller has been very solid in net and will need to be on his game tonight against the Red Wings.

The Red Wings will potentially have another weapon in the line up tonight as Darren Helm may make his season debut after suffering a shoulder injury in the pre-season.

As seen on the official Sabres website, Detroit doesn't need any more help against the Sabres. The Red Wings are 15-1-1 with a tie in their last 18 games versus Buffalo dating to March 27, 1996, scoring 3.77 goals per meeting.

Buffalo has only let up three goals in three games this season, but has only scored four. Hopefully Buffalo can stay that strong tonight.

And remember Buffalo, shake hands at the end or you'll hear about it allllllllllllllll summer.
