Preview: Ottawa Host Islanders in Home Opener

Tavares's parents once again signed his permission slip, so he can go out and play with the big boys when he and the Islanders visit Ottawa looking for their first win of the season.

The Senators (1-1-0) and the Islanders (0-0-1) both has disappointing season last year, but both have the means of turning things around with more balanced lines on the Sens, and (very)young talent in Tavares on NY. He managed to get one goal and one assist in his NHL debut against the Penguins.

Center and captain Doug Weight is expected to play for NY, coming back after a Gaborik groin injury. Rob Schremp is also going to be playing his first game in an Islanders jersey after coming over from Edmonton. The Senators will be looking to carry over some momentum from their win over Toronto last Tuesday
